East Boston Cultural Exchange Center Features Dr. Youxin Yang’s Solo Painting Exhibition December, “Leaf” Screening on Opening Reception December 5 - PRWeb Art & Entertainment

The opening reception (6-9pm) will show Dr. Yang’s film Leaf (Musical Version). Leaf (Feuille/Yezi) has won 24 awards, including Top (Platinum) Remi Award at the 37th World-Fest Houston International Film Festival, Special Jury Award at 2004 NewTV Video-Film Awards Contest, 2004 Accolade Award of Excellence for Arts/Culture, 2004 Best Drama and 2006 Best Score at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival, 2008 Telly Award, and 2008 Accolade Award Foreign Language Film of the Year and Original Score/Song. In the musical version of Leaf, Dr. Yang wrote and composed three new songs, titled “True Love Has Only One End”, “Hometown”, and “Compromise”. These songs were performed by well established vocalists including Professors of Voice at the world renowned Berklee College of Music, Mili Bermejo, Jeannie Gagné, and New England Conservatory alumnus Patrice Williamson.
